Chromoelectric fields and quarkonium-hadron interactions at high energies

We develop a simple model to study the heavy quarkonium-hadron cross section in the high energy limit. The hadron is represented by an external electric color field (capacitor) and the heavy quarkonium is represented by a small color dipole. Using high energy approximations we compute the relevant cross sections, which are then compared with results obtained with other methods. Optimisation du procédé traditionnel de maltage du sorgho pour la production de boissons fermentées

La présente étude a évalué les conditions d’optimisation des procédés traditionnels de maltage du sorgho au Bénin. L’objectif est d’améliorer, à l’échelle semi-industrielle, la production et la qualité du malt de sorgho. L’étude s’est déroulée en deux phases. La première phase a consisté en une enquête technologique au cours de laquelle la technologie traditionnelle de production de malt a été suivie et des échantillons de malt collectés. Dans la deuxième phase, la technologie traditionnelle a été reproduite en conditions contrôlées au laboratoire en faisant varier les différents paramètres de maltage que sont la durée de trempage et la durée de germination. Les résultats ont montré qu’il existe une grande variabilité au niveau des caractéristiques physicochimiques des malts collectés auprès des productrices de boissons maltées. L’analyse de variance a révélé que la durée de trempage et la durée de germination ont un effet significatif sur l’extrait sec, le pH, le pouvoir diastasique et le rapport α/β-amylasique des malts dérivés. Une analyse en composantes principales a été effectuée sur les caractéristiques des malts produits en conditions contrôlées et les conditions optimales de production de malt de qualité adéquate ont été établies.Keywords: Sorgho, malt, pouvoir diastasique, germination, fermentation, optimisatio

Essai d’amélioration de la durée de conservation des aubergines aux températures ambiantes au Gabon

La conservation des fruits, particulièrement celle des aubergines, est difficile au Gabon, par manque de techniques d’entreposage appropriées. Les rares procédés utilisés sont coûteux et peu accessibles à la majeure partie de la population. La présente étude a été proposée pour tester l’efficacité de quelques méthodes simples susceptibles de servir d’alternative. Ce sont : les traitements des aubergines à la poudre des cendres et aux solutions de GA-3, de NaCl et d’huile d’arachide. Les paramètres de conservation étudiés étaient : la durée de stockage, les pertes de masse, de dureté et d’intégrité des organes. Les résultats ont montré que les traitements à l’huile d’arachide produisaient les meilleures conditions de conservation, avec des rallongements significatifs de durée de +18 jours, et des atténuations des pertes de masse, de dureté et d’intégrité. L’usage de cette technique peut donc être conseillé comme méthode de conservation valable des fruits d’aubergine.Mots clés: Fruits, traitements, huile d’arachide, durée, stockag

PENGEMBANGAN NILAI-NILAI PLURASIME PESERTA DIDIK MELALUI KAJIAN BIOGRAFI GUS DUR DALAM PEMBELAJARAN SEJARAH

Tesis ini berjudul “Pengembangan nilai-nilai pluralisme peserta didik melalui kajian biografi Gus Dur dalam pembelajaran sejarah”. Permasalahan utama dalam tesis ini adalah “Bagaimana pengembangan nilai-nilai pluralisme peserta didik melalui kajian biografi Gus Dur dalam pembelajaran sejarah?”. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk (1) Mendeskripsikan penerapan pengembangan nilai-nilai pluralisme peserta didik melalui kajian biografi Gus Dur, (2) Mendeskripsikan langkah-langkah pembelajaran sejarah melalui kajian biografi Gus Dur, (3) Menganalisis hasil dari langkah-langkah pengembangan nilai-nilai pluralisme peserta didik melalui kajian biografi Gus Dur, dan (4) Mengidentifikasi kendala-kendala guru ketika menerapkan pengembangan nilai-nilai pluralisme peserta didik melalui kajian biografi Gus Dur dalam pembelajaran sejarah pada siswa kelas XI IPA 6 SMA Negeri 4 Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode penelitian tindakan kelas. Data diperoleh dengan teknik dokumentasi dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran sejarah melalui kajian biografi Gus Dur mampu mengembangkan nilai-nilai pluralisme pada siswa kelas XI IPA 6.;---The tesis entitled “The Development of the Values of Pluralism on Students Based on Gus Dur’s Biography in History Education”. In particular, the tesis focuses on “How the development of the values of pluralism on students based on Gus Dur’s biography in history education. The research is intented do (1) Describing the implementation development of pluralism values of learners based on Gus Dur’s biography of teaching history in the 11th grade of IPA 6 SMA Negeri 4 Bandung, (2) Describing the steps of history learning based on Gus Dur’s biography to develop the values of pluralism of students, (3) Analyzing the results of the values of pluralism development on learners based on Gus Dur’s biography in history teaching class, (4) Identifying difficulties encountered by the teacher during the implementation of the development of pluralism values on students based on Gus Dur ‘s biography in history education to students. This research is carried out by qualitative approach particularly by Classroom Action Research model. Data are colected by observation, interview and documentation. Pandangan Greg Barton tentang Islam Liberal dan Eksistensi Politik Islam di Indonesia

Abstract: The Greg Barton’s point of view on liberal Islam and Islamic political existence in Indonesia departs from the result of his study on liberal Muslim thinkers in Indonesia, including NurcholishMadjid and Abdurrahman Wahid. Their thoughts are classified as a liberal. Madjid, in most of his methodologies, uses a double movement, while Wahid uses a socio-cultural approach. In addition, MadjidCakNuris also known by his secularization project, while Wahidis famous by his pluralism project. Greg Barton arrived at this conclusion after reading Madjid and Wahid’s opinions in books and articles. In relation to the existence of the political Islam in Indonesia, Greg Barton views that the collapse of the Islamist party of Masjumiwaspartly contributed by Madjid’sliberal thought in understanding Islam. On the other hands, the appearance of religious pluralism in society, which is also a part of a liberal Islamic thought, wasexpedited by Wahid when he was a president of Indonesia. Etiologija virusne bolesti aroideje Amorphophallus rivieri

A potyvirus was isolated from the aroid Amorphophallus rivieri Dur. with conspicuous mosaic and mottling symptoms. Based on the host range reaction and cytopathology the virus is very probably an isolate of dasheen mosaic virus. It seems to be the first report about virus infection of this aroid plant.Iz aroideje Amorphophallus rivieri Dur. s izražajnim mozaičnim simptomima i šarenilom listova izoliran je potyvirus. Na osnovi kruga domaćina i simptoma na pokusnim biljkama te citopatoloških promjena u stanicama zaražene aroideje zaključeno je da taj izolat vrlo vjerojatno pripada virusu mozaika kolokazije (dasheen mosaic virus). Realization of the Optimal Universal Quantum Entangler

We present the first experimental demonstration of the ''optimal'' and ''universal'' quantum entangling process involving qubits encoded in the polarization of single photons. KARYA MUSIK “KINDESALTER DUO IN G-DUR” DALAM TINJAUAN ORKESTRASI

“Kindesalter duo in G-dur” adalah judul yang diadopsi dari bahasa jerman yang secara harfiah “kindesalter” berarti masa kanak-kanak “duo” adalah penegasan materi dalam karya musik ini. Yaitu duo solo pada violin viola yang diiringi chamber orkestra dan menggunakan tangga nada pokok “G-dur” atau G mayor. adalah fenomena pribadi yang dialami komposer, yaitu melalui perenungan teringat salah satu sahabat kecil komposer yang sekarang sudah tiada lagi. Interaksi antara violin solo dan viola solo menyiratkan seperti dua anak manusia yang sedang bermain dan berinteraksi. Sehingga komposer ingin mengingat kembali masa kanak-kanaknya dan menuangkannya melalui karya musik ini. Bentuk musik ”Kindesalter duo in G-dur” termasuk bentuk musik tiga bagian besar /kompleks, karena di dalam komposisi musik ini terdapat tiga bagian utama dengan kalimat-kalimat dalam setiap bagian tersebut. Dalam analisis bentuk musik ”Kindesalter duo in G-dur” digunakan simbol–simbol agar memudahkan pembaca untuk menganalisis bentuk karya musik ini yaitu Bagian Ak,Bk, dan Ck dimana didalam setiap bagian-bagian tersebut terdapat kalimat yang membuat bagian tersebut menjadi kompleks. Pada penulisan ini membahas lebih lanjut  tentang tinjauan orkestrasi. langkah yang dilakukan untuk mengorkestrasi diantaranya memahami materi orkestrasi yang akan diacu sebagai bahan, memahami bentuk score yang akan dipindahkan, memahami formasi baru sebagai lokasi penerapan, menjaga keutuhan melodi pokok, menjaga originalitas harmoni, penerapan dinamika berdasarkan instrumentasinya. Karya musik ”Kindesalter duo in G-dur” terdapat 169 birama dengan durasi 8 menit 15 detik. Dalam karya musik ini dimainkan dengan tempo Allegretto, Maestosso, dan  allegretto secara bergantian dan berurutan. Adapun tangga nada yang dimainkan meliputi tangga nada G mayor, Bb mayor, D mayor. Serta menggunakan tanda birama 4/4 dan 3/4.Dengan terciptanya karya musik “Kindesalter duo in G-dur” ini, semoga bisa menjadi referensi bagi para mahasiswa dan masyarakat umum agar lebih mencintai dan memerhatikan musik, khususnya musik klasik karena musik memiliki animo yang kecil di indonesia. In the analysis of “Kindesalter duo in G-Dur” music form, it was applied symbols to facilitate reader in analyzing this musical work namely Ak, Bk, and Ck, whereas in every part consisted sentence which make those part become complex. In this writing will discuss further concerning orchestration examination. Operator-Schmidt decompositions and the Fourier transform, with applications to the operator-Schmidt numbers of unitaries

The operator-Schmidt decomposition is useful in quantum information theory for quantifying the nonlocality of bipartite unitary operations. We construct a family of unitary operators on C^n tensor C^n whose operator-Schmidt decompositions are computed using the discrete Fourier transform. As a corollary, we produce unitaries on C^3 tensor C^3 with operator-Schmidt number S for every S in {1,...,9}. This corollary was unexpected, since it contradicted reasonable conjectures of Nielsen et al [Phys. Rev. A 67 (2003) 052301] based on intuition from a striking result in the two-qubit case. By the results of Dur, Vidal, and Cirac [Phys. Rev. Lett. 89 (2002) 057901 quant-ph/0112124], who also considered the two-qubit case, our result implies that there are nine equivalence classes of unitaries on C^3 tensor C^3 which are probabilistically interconvertible by (stochastic) local operations and classical communication. As another corollary, a prescription is produced for constructing maximally-entangled operators from biunimodular functions. Reversing tact, we state a generalized operator-Schmidt decomposition of the quantum Fourier transform considered as an operator C^M_1 tensor C^M_2 --> C^N_1 tensor C^N_2, with M_1 x M_2 = N_1 x N_2. This decomposition shows (by Nielsen's bound) that the communication cost of the QFT remains maximal when a net transfer of qudits is permitted. In an appendix, a canonical procedure is given for removing basis-dependence for results and proofs depending on the "magic basis" introduced in [S. Hill and W. Wootters, "Entanglement of a pair of quantum bits," Phys Rev.
